Where is the widget code to install on my site?
The widget code is in Select site → Widget → Editor, in section ③ "Pasang di situsmu" (Install on your site) (at the bottom). It contains a single line of script that already includes your site ID.
In that section, you’ll find platform options: Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Framer, WordPress, Shopify, plain HTML, React, Next.js, Laravel, and others. Choose the one that matches your site, then follow the pasting steps and click Copy. If your platform isn’t listed, use the "Salin prompt" (Copy prompt) button and ask your AI of choice.
How do I install the widget on my site?
Paste the single line of script just before </body>, on all pages of your site. You don’t need to install any npm packages or make other code changes.
<script src="https://chatbot.inwebsite.online/widget.js" data-site-id="SITE_ID_KAMU" async></script>Use the code from the dashboard so that SITE_ID_KAMU is already filled in correctly. Installation is only needed once: subsequent appearance changes will reach your site without code changes.
How do I know if the widget is installed?
Check the status at the top of the Select site → Widget → Editor page. Before installation, it will say "Belum terpasang di situsmu" (Not yet installed on your site). After installation, it will say "Terpasang di" (Installed on) followed by your site’s domain and the last time it was used.
This status is read from successfully answered chats on your site, so it will only change after a message is sent. Open your site and send a message to the widget to check it. If no chats occur for a full month, the status will revert to "Belum terpasang".
What can be adjusted in the widget’s appearance?
Section ① "Tampilan" (Appearance) in Select site → Widget → Editor adjusts these:
- Primary color, Corner style (Sharp, Soft, Rounded), and Panel theme (Light, Dark, Automatic; Automatic follows the visitor’s device dark or light mode).
- Font: enter the name of the font already used on your site, for example, Inter. The widget does not download fonts itself.
- Position (Bottom right or Bottom left), Bot name, Subtitle, and Greeting message. Each line of the greeting message becomes one bubble.
- In "Other options": Auto-open (disabled, or 5, 10, 20 seconds after page load, once per visitor) and backup WhatsApp (optional, offered to visitors if the chatbot fails to respond).
Are widget appearance changes saved automatically?
Yes, changes in section ① "Appearance" are saved automatically without a save button, and appear on your site in about 1 minute. A Saving or Not saved status appears to the right of the section title.
Invalid WhatsApp number or font name will not be saved until you correct them. The domain list in section ② is different: changes only apply after you click "Save domain" and confirm.
How can I test the widget chat before installing it?
Use the "Try widget" panel next to the Appearance form, in Select site → Widget → Editor. This panel displays the actual widget, so you can type questions and see the bot's responses directly.
Chat in this panel is recorded as a Test session and does not deduct from your chat quota. In the Free plan, the preview also displays a "Powered by" label as visitors will see.
How can I limit the widget to only my site domains?
Fill the list in section ② "Allowed domains" in Select site → Widget → Editor, one domain per line without https://, for example inwebsite.online. Then click "Save domain" and confirm with "Yes, apply".
Subdomains are also allowed: if you enter situs.com, then www.situs.com and blog.situs.com are also permitted. If you only enter www.situs.com, situs.com without www is not included. Incorrectly formatted entries, such as https://situs.com/halaman, are flagged and can be corrected with the "Fix format" button.
An empty list means all domains can use your widget, and the dashboard marks it as "Not protected". This list closes the copy-paste code to other sites via browser gap, but is not absolute protection: direct requests outside the browser, such as curl, can spoof the origin.
Why isn't the widget appearing on my site?
The most common causes: the code hasn't been pasted on all pages, your site domain isn't in the "Allowed domains" list, or your platform limits additional code.
- Check section ② in Select site → Widget → Editor. If your domain isn't there or is misspelled, chat from your site will be rejected. The rejection is logged as "Domain not allowed" in Widget → Monitoring.
- Check section ③. Make sure the code is placed immediately before </body> and the site has been published or redeployed.
- Some platforms require paid plans for additional code, for example Wix (Custom Code requires a Premium plan and own domain) and Webflow (requires a paid Site plan). Google Sites and Notion cannot have widgets installed.
